How to Download Paywalled Journal for Free

Journal article is one of the most important source of research especially for students who currently doing thesis research, but unfortunately not all journal is available for us, usually we need to purchase it by 20$-30$ or more, it's called paywalled journal. But you don't worry here I write something about HOW TO DOWNLOAD PAYWALLED JOURNAL FOR FREE!

So there are two steps of downloading those journal

1. You need to know its DOI, kind of serial number of the journal. Here is an example of journal that i found from Springer

 

 2. Open website of Sci Hub which is sci-hub.bz it's very easy step, copy and paste the DOI number on the form, and you can instantly download it without paying anything.

 

Easy right?

Sci Hub was discovered by Alexandra Elbakyan, a Kazakhstani woman who concern about strictness in accessed published research article, she is realy my savior for sure!

But wait... what if you don't find DOI number of the journal article? Actually you can also using website address or URL, but you have to notice that it is direct URL of the file (usually PDF) you want to access but paywalled. In this case if you copy a URL of the book or article from online store like amazon, it won't work because it is doesn't headed to the file, they doesn't provide the pdf source online. Here for example, I use URL of the journal from jstor.org

 

same as the step I explained of using DOI, you anly need to copy and paste the URL to sci hub and the file willl instantly download.

one more tip from me, if you're a bit confused about how to start finding good and suitable journal source relevant with your study, you can open a website scimagojr.com and type your relevant keyword such as : mathematics or psychology depend on your filed and it will sow journals from all over the worlds based on its rank and match with your keyword.
